Job Description

West Hartford seeks a dedicated educator to support our students who are deaf and hard of hearing. Responsibilities include ensuring access to language through use of American Sign Language and other visual supports. Duties also include signing/voicing teacher/student communications, facilitating communication between teacher/student/peers, supporting academic content, providing instructional support, and management of amplification systems.

Requirements

  • NIC Written Certification.
  • Must be on CT Interpreter Registry.
  • Must be fluent in ASL.
