The Team: The American Girl Retail team is integral in providing lifetime memories to American Girl fans and their families. Our experiential retail stores provide shopping destinations like no other. This requires Innovation, Collaboration, and Execution from all who are a part of this division. Our in-store experiences range depending on location from Girl and Doll Salons, Full-Service Restaurants, Personal Shopping, Ear Piercing (Girl and Doll), hosting Parties/Celebrations to name a few. Expect a dynamic and fast-paced role where you get to make decisions that impact the team as well as our customers.

Responsible for managing all aspects of planning, coordination, and communication for group sales, private parties, store events, and community and hotel partnerships. Drives customer engagement and revenue growth by creating and executing exceptional in-store experiences, sales programs, and events that attract new and returning guests. Develops and maintains strategic local partnerships to increase brand awareness and traffic. Leads the planning and execution of influencer, VIP, media, public relations, and celebrity visits, ensuring a seamless and elevated brand experience that supports business objectives and enhances the location's market presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate partnerships with community organizations and group prospects to support internal and external store events.

  • Develop revenue-generating event initiatives and provide budget recommendations tailored to local market needs.

  • Collaborate with store leadership to assign event roles, responsibilities, and staffing requirements.

  • Manage event administration, including contract processing and completion of all required documentation.

  • Coordinate communication across key departments, including retail, reservations, and restaurant teams, ensuring operational readiness and system compliance.

  • Support retail operations and contribute to the planning and execution of store-wide projects and special initiatives.

  • Support the retail sales floor in a sales associate capacity when needed.

  • Lead event setup, facilitation, and post-event breakdown, ensuring venues, participants, and facilitators are fully prepared, and events meet company standards.

  • Maintain communication with customers, guests, community partners, and vendors through phone and written correspondence while resolving customer service issues and concerns.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 Years of equivalent experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Platform or presentation skills

  • High level of customer service skills
