Job Description

Responsible for ensuring that the performance of the Windows system is maintained and operating at maximum levels of productivity and efficiency. This incumbent will also provide end-user support and troubleshooting services.

Responsibilities

Windows System Administration

  • Install, configure and maintain development, test and production of Window servers

  • Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot enterprise applications hosted on Windows Server

  • Administer network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, virus protection, and email security and phone system

  • Manage the Active directory and configure security settings or access permissions for groups or individuals

  • Schedule software distributions and installations to minimize user disruption, in order to support time critical release upgrades, to deploy urgent patches, and to maintain current projects

  • Perform proactive and reactive troubleshooting to effectively identify potential incidents or problems

  • Develop trends by monitoring and analyzing incoming calls, problems and support requests

  • Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware usage and make recommendations

  • Diagnose and quickly resolve a wide range of Windows applications, systems and networking problems to help minimize downtime

  • Ensure server backups and networked user backups are performed on a regular basis

  • Report service improvements implemented and recommend actions to further improve performance and service delivery

Desktop Support

  • Provide end-user support and resolve problems in a timely manner

  • Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment

  • Responsible for monitoring, operating, managing, troubleshooting and restoring to service any personal computers, desktops or notebooks that has authorized access to the network

  • Assist end-users in determining appropriate software solutions to meet business needs while complying with bank’s policies, procedures and budget constraints

Security & Inventory Control

  • Maintain inventory and documentation for all equipment, software and software licenses

  • Return defective equipment/parts to maintenance inventory, documents customer repairs, maintain and restock assigned parts inventory to insure proper spare parts levels

  • Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory

  • Install and configure end-point protection software, virus definitions file on all bank owned computers/laptops

  • Monitor antivirus software and updates and repair computers infected with spyware, adware and/or viruses

  • Maintain and update security baselines for servers and its software

Compliance

  • Understand, comply with and monitor the activities, if necessary, of all applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of system maintenance experience
  • Demonstrate knowledge in Windows AD, MS Exchange, Endpoint Protection, MS SQL, VMware vSphere, Intel platform server, Enterprise Backup solution
  • Demonstrate Regulatory and compliance knowledge and financial/ banking industry knowledge
  • Bilingual ability in English and Mandarin required

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.

USD $65,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
