• Ensure efficient and accurate management of all inbound and outbound material movements.
• Maintain real-time inventory accuracy through robust stock monitoring, cycle counts, and yearly stock audits.
• Plan and ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, storage space, and material handling equipment.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics for seamless material flow.
• Implement and drive cost reduction initiatives related to inventory, scrap reduction, and storage optimization.
• Responsible for maintaining FIFO/FEFO discipline across the stores.
• Monitor and control inventory levels as per Min-Max norms and safety stock guidelines.
• Develop and implement SOPs for stores operations, material handling, and documentation.
• Ensure material traceability, shelf-life monitoring, and preservation as per engineering standards.
• Lead digitalisation initiatives—Scan & Dispatch with Barcoding, SAP/ERP transaction discipline, real-time material tracking.
• Ensure 100% compliance to statutory regulations, internal audits, and safety guidelines.
• Manage vendor interactions for material receipts, shortages, rejections, and document discrepancies.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts such as 5S, Kaizen, Lean Stores Management, and layout optimization.
• Prepare and maintain Stores MIS—Inventory status, ageing analysis, consumption patterns, lead time tracking.
