Epic Ambulatory Analyst (Phoenix) Midwest Health System - contract to hire

We're partnering with a leading Midwest healthcare organization seeking an experienced Epic Ambulatory Analyst to support ongoing optimization, enhancement, and strategic initiatives within their Epic environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an analyst who enjoys collaborating with operational leaders, driving workflow improvements, and owning Epic build responsibilities from design through go-live support.

Required:

  • Epic Ambulatory certification
  • 5+ years of Epic Ambulatory build experience
  • Epic phoenix experience

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, build, test, and support Epic Ambulatory and Phoenix applications
  • Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and improve workflows
  • Lead system optimization initiatives, upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations
  • Configure Epic records, workflows, security, rules, and related application components
  • Develop and execute testing plans, including unit, integrated, and UAT testing
  • Provide go-live, hypercare, and end-user support
  • Troubleshoot application issues and drive root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with interface, reporting, and technical teams to ensure seamless integrations
  • Create and maintain project documentation, design specifications, and workflow diagrams
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices across the team
  • Support compliance, change management, and regulatory initiatives

Preferred Experience

  • Epic Ambulatory Certification
  • Epic Phoenix experience
  • 5+ years of Epic analyst experience within a healthcare environment
  • Strong Epic build and configuration experience
  • Experience supporting upgrades, optimizations, and project implementations
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows and ambulatory operations
  • Experience working with stakeholders, providers, and operational leaders
  • Familiarity with:

Ideal Background

  • Proven ability to independently manage projects and system enhancements
  • Strong requirements gathering and workflow design experience
  • Skilled in testing, validation, and implementation support
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading analyst teams is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $85.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
