NATIONWIDE SEARCH: MIAMI, FL & ALYS BEACH, FL (LOCAL MIAMI CANDIDATES PREFERRED) – An incredible, warm, and active family is seeking TWO exceptional full-time nannies to work collaboratively in a rotational team structure caring for their adorable 3-year-old son. This is a rare opportunity for two professional caregivers who enjoy working together as a team—friends, sisters, or nanny partners are especially encouraged to apply—while building a long-term relationship with a wonderful family.
The family splits its time between Miami and beautiful Alys Beach, Florida, and is looking for caregivers excited about traveling between both locations throughout the year. Their typical annual rhythm is January through early June in Miami, June through September in Alys Beach, September through November back in Miami, and the holidays in Alys Beach.
While in Alys Beach, housing will typically be provided, though candidates should be comfortable occasionally living in with the family for shorter stays (for example, when the family is in town for only a week or two and separate housing is difficult to secure). For longer stays of four weeks or more, the family will make every effort to provide separate housing accommodations.
Their little boy is described as the sweetest child; he is curious, playful, and full of energy. The family is seeking educated, developmentally minded caregivers who genuinely enjoy the toddler stage and can confidently guide children through the “threenager” years with warmth, patience, and structure. A background in early childhood education or child development is highly valued, as the family may consider homeschooling in the future and would love someone who enjoys supporting early learning, manners, and positive behavioral development.
The ideal candidates are vibrant, energetic, and physically active, as their son spends a great deal of time outdoors and on the beach. Comfort navigating sand, heat, and humidity while maintaining a playful and engaged presence is essential. The family lives a healthy lifestyle and loves being outside, so caregivers who enjoy outdoor activities will thrive.
This is a true team-based role, designed to provide the family with consistent childcare coverage and flexibility while ensuring each nanny maintains a sustainable full-time schedule. The two nannies will work collaboratively, alternating shifts and coverage to allow the parents the freedom to attend events, dinners, or engagements as needed.
Rather than following a rigid schedule, the role is structured with flexibility in mind. Each nanny will work up to 40 hours per week, typically following either a 4-days-on/4-days-off rotation or split shifts, allowing one nanny to finish her shift as the other begins (for example, one working 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM and the other 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM). This approach creates seamless transitions and ensures reliable coverage throughout the week and on weekends.
The family’s goal in hiring two nannies is to create maximum flexibility for the household, while also ensuring that each caregiver enjoys a balanced schedule and meaningful time off.
In addition to childcare, this is a hybrid nanny/family assistant role. When parents are spending time directly with their son, the nanny may assist with light household support such as organizing shared spaces, managing dishes, tidying play areas, or running occasional errands. This is not a housekeeping role, but rather a collaborative, team-oriented household where everyone contributes.
The family values caregivers who are safety-conscious, respectful of parental boundaries, and excellent communicators. A strong driving record is essential, and additional skills such as piano, speaking another language, or advanced early childhood education training are considered wonderful bonuses.
Compensation Structure
Compensation will vary depending on whether housing is required.
• Local Miami candidates (no housing required): approximately $75,000–$85,000 annually• Candidates requiring housing: approximately $99,000–$100,000 annually (inclusive of a $2,000/month housing allowance)
Additional Qualifications
• Strong background in early childhood development• Experience caring for toddlers• Energetic, active, and enjoys outdoor play• Comfortable traveling between Miami and Alys Beach• Excellent driver with a clean driving record• Organized, proactive, and a strong team player• Comfortable with evenings and weekend coverage• Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic household environment
The family identifies as Christian but warmly welcomes caregivers from all backgrounds and faiths. What matters most is finding individuals who are kind, professional, and excited to become a meaningful part of their child’s world.
This is a rare opportunity to work with an incredible family in two beautiful coastal locations, caring for a joyful child while enjoying a supportive team structure and an exceptional compensation package.
