Job Description

AMDA College of the Performing Arts, with campuses in New York City and Hollywood, is one of the foremost post-secondary performing arts colleges in the country. AMDA offers various pathways for students to receive unparalleled performing arts education taught by world-class industry professionals, including Professional Conservatory Certificates as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees (Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Associate of Occupational Studies, Master of Fine Arts and Master of Arts).

Commitment to being an Orientation Leader is vital to creating a strong and successful experience for the AMDA incoming students.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Tracking students' attendance on Zoom and in-person
  • Tracking progress on Canvas to make sure all assignments are completed
  • Encouraging students to attend all seminars and activities
  • Be a liaison between the Orientation Team and the students
  • Help guide students through their online and in-person Orientation
  • Weekly Meetings with incoming students and the Orientation Team
  • Attending Orientation seminars and sessions to support the incoming students
  • Assist Orientation Coordinator in setting up and breaking down rooms
  • Assist in bag and folder preparation for Orientation check-in

Qualifications:

  • Must be in good standing with the school as an Alum
  • Must be able to lift 30lbs
  • Must be able to be on your feet for 8–10 hour
  • Knowledge of working with a tablet
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Position Information:

  • The pay for this position is $17 hourly
  • Will need to wear black pants for all orientation
  • The required date for this role is from February 6th - 27th
    • Virtual Wednesday 3rd - 12th
    • In-person June 13th - 26th

The dates provided are when availability is required.
