Altra: Regional Merchandise Manager

The Regional Merchandise Manager supports the regional merchandising direction for Altra footwear across Wholesale and DTC (Retail + eCommerce). You will use consumer, marketplace, and performance insights to help shape seasonal assortment priorities. You’ll partner with Global Merchandising/Product, Sales, Planning, Marketing, and DTC teams to support line reviews, GTM readiness, and clear product storytelling—helping bring the right product to market at the right time. You’ll balance weekly business reads with seasonal milestone work—partnering closely with Sales, Planning, and DTC/eComm to bring insights forward, keep timelines moving, and improve how the line shows up by channel.

A day in the life of a Regional Merchandise Manager at Altra looks a little like this:

  • Start the week with a quick read of sales and inventory signals (by channel/account) to flag wins, risks, and items to review with partners.

  • Join touchpoints with Sales, Planning, and DTC/eComm to align on upcoming milestones, key account needs, and in-season follow-ups.

  • Pull together notes and simple recaps after meetings (what we learned, what changed, what’s next) so teams stay aligned.

  • Prepare inputs for line review moments (regional observations, account feedback, and a few clear recommendations) and coordinate with Global partners on timing.

  • Support selling readiness by helping organize and QA seasonal information (assortment snapshots, product notes, and key stories) for internal teams.

  • Spend time in the market when needed—listening to accounts, observing competitive assortments, and capturing takeaways to share with cross-functional partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support seasonal assortment direction for the Americas across Wholesale and DTC (Retail + eCommerce).

  • Bring marketplace, consumer, and account insights into line reviews and seasonal planning conversations.

  • Help build and maintain regional assortment tools and frameworks, aligned to global direction (channel segmentation, key price points, franchise vs. innovation balance).

  • Partner with Planning to review performance and support SKU productivity and assortment optimization.

  • Support GTM readiness by contributing to clarity on seasonal priorities and product stories for Sales, Marketing, and DTC teams.

  • Track milestones and deliver inputs on time; communicate updates and recommendations clearly.
