Job Description

POSITION: Alternative Education Teachers, Extra-curricular, effective 2026-27 school year

CONTRACT: Up to 4 evenings per week maximum 3 hours each evening on as needed basis,

Up to 4 positions to be used on an as needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS

• West Virginia Teaching Certificate in core academic areas
• Experience in the Alternative Education setting preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide instruction and supervision for alternative special education students outside the instructional day
• Maintain established data system for participants
• Utilize multiple instructional platforms
• Collaborate with regular education teachers to coordinate student instruction
• Coordinate online and other instructional resources
• Implement IEP
• Provide information to parents as needed.

• Building Principals
• Alternative Education Director

SALARY: Regular hourly rate based on experience
