Alternative Ed Secondary Credit Recovery Site Coordinator - 26-27

Position Type: Teacher/High School

Position: Alternative Education Secondary Credit Recovery Site Coordinator

Location: North High School

Work Schedule:

  • School Year: Up to 10 hours per week, after school hours, Monday�Thursday, on-site during Credit Recovery; additional planning hours may be allotted with prior approval from Alternative Pathways Principal based on need
  • Summer: Additional hours during the 3-week summer program in July, working approximately 6.25 hours per day, 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday), generally from 7:15 am-1:30 pm

Program Dates: September 2026- July 2026

Start Date: September 2026

Pay and Benefits: $40.48 an hour. Pay and benefits are in accordance with the teacher labor agreement - https://www.isd622.org/about/human-resources

Purpose of Program:

  • To provide ISD 622 students (grades 8 -12) with the opportunity to recover course credits required for graduation through Credit Recovery and Bridge to High School Program.

Student Population:

  • For students in grades 9-12 Credit Recovery who are at risk of not graduating on time; summer program supports a small group of targeted incoming 9th graders for the Bridge to High School Program.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid MN Teaching License
  • Minimum of one year successful teaching experience
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and analyzing formative and summative assessments
  • Experience in planning and facilitating various professional learning activities
  • Ability to demonstrate, model and coach effective research-based instructional strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication/collaboration skills
  • Ability to work with teachers individually in different content areas

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day operations involving both Credit Recovery and the summer Bridge to HS program
  • Position is in place for school year and summer programming
  • Work directly with site Counseling and Admin teams and CR Enrollment Coordinator
  • Responsible for the registration process, creating student schedules, coordinating information with students, families, and building teams and Alternative Pathways Office.
  • Manage student and course enrollments and student attendance practices
  • Manage and support the digital curriculum platform
  • Ensure accurate data collection of programming and compliance of MDE requirements
  • Staff supervision and teacher guidance and support
  • Student supervision and discipline practices
  • Logistics for any meal prep and distribution, health services, transportation, building schedules, etc.
  • Staff communication
  • Student communication
  • Parent/guardian communication
  • Coordinate after school crisis and medical response plans/training
  • Coordinate with building Admins related to hiring, supervision, supporting teachers, students issues/parent concerns, behavioral issues, attendance issues, etc.
  • Coordinate emergency drills for Bridge to High School & Credit Recovery during summer programming
  • Reports to the Site Administrators and consult with Alternative Pathways Principal
  • Other duties as assigned
