Descriptif de la mission :

Au sein du département Power Electronics des projets Convertisseurs de Puissance Moyenne Tension de la branche GE Power Conversion, le stagiaire intègrera le métier « Refroidissement des convertisseurs » avec pour missions principales :

  • Le dimensionnement des centrales de refroidissement par calculs hydrauliques et thermiques.
  • La justification du choix des composants de la centrale de refroidissement (pompes, capteurs, échangeurs, vases d’expansion…)
  • La définition et le suivi des plans de qualification et de caractérisation nécessaires.
  • La recherche de double source pour les composants critiques du système de refroidissement.

Compétences développées au cours de la mission :

Le développement produit, de sa phase de définition à sa phase de mise en service ; la rédaction de cahiers des charges et de plans de test, les compétences hydrauliques, mécaniques, thermiques et électriques ; le suivi fournisseur ; la vision « système » d’un produit.

Our mission:

Within the Power Electronics department of the Medium Voltage Power Converter projects within the GE Power Conversion division, the intern will join the "Converter Cooling" team with the following main responsibilities:

  • Sizing cooling systems using hydraulic and thermal calculations.
  • Justifying the choice of cooling system components (pumps, sensors, heat exchangers, expansion vessels, etc.).
  • Defining and monitoring the necessary qualification and characterization plans.
  • Identifying dual sourcing for critical cooling system components.

Skills developed during the internship:

Product development, from the definition phase to commissioning; writing specifications and test plans; hydraulic, mechanical, thermal, and electrical expertise; supplier management; and a "systems" perspective on a product.
