NORTHEAST DELTA HUMAN SERVICES AUTHORITY MISSION:
Serve as a catalyst for individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive disorders to help them realize their full human potential by offering quality, excellent care with greater accessibility.


Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is seeking an Al's Pals Program Data Coordinator to enhance NEDHSA's existing prevention and support services for school-aged children through evidence-based programs and planning/supporting community-based activities and events for the general public. Curriculum assistant will support in the oversight of the primary prevention Evidence Based Programs (EBP) for children in Head Start, Pre-K 4, Kindergarten, and first grade in Madison, East Carroll, Jackson, Morehouse, Ouachita, and Tensas Parishes to reduce behavior problems and addressing causal factors such as poor social skills. Activities shall include prevention strategies including Information Dissemination, Education, Alternatives, Problem Identification and Referral, and Community-based Process.

A candidate with prior experience in leading presentations, workshops, professional development sessions, or group trainings is highly preferred. Furthermore, preference will be granted to candidates who are capable of offering technical assistance and continued support to the school staff responsible for implementing program activities.

Examples of duties

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Psychology, Sociology, General Studies, or a closely related field.
  • Experience working with schools, school systems, youth-serving organizations, and/or school-based programs.

Supplemental information

The CONTRACTOR shall function as a staff person for NEDHSA and provide services and otherwise do all things necessary for or incidental to the performance of work, as set forth in this Contract and Statement of Work and the Early Childhood Coordinator. CONTRACTOR shall assist the Early Childhood Manager via data collection, data entry, and to help develop and serve program instructors in the implementation and development of appropriate and healthy life skills. CONTRACTOR shall also assist with promoting, developing, coordinating and implementing the Al’s Pals program. The range of services to be provided shall include, but is not limited to:

  • Attend 2-day Al’s Pals training if available, as well, as follow-up or advanced Al’s Pals trainings
  • Ensure Al’s Pals participants have a curriculum kit filled with the complete list of items required
  • Conduct Al’s Pals on-boarding trainings and refresher trainings to teachers prior to program facilitation
  • Assist in planning the official Al’s Pals trainings for new teachers and childcare providers.
  • Assist with gathering information and revising the quarterly newsletter
  • Assist in providing refresher course for participants as needed
  • Assist in training any Early Childhood new hires or staff.
  • Assist with the Implementation of the Al’s Pals curriculum
  • Collaborate with the Elementary school supervisors, Elementary school principals, Quality Head Start center directors, and participating teachers
  • Develop and manage an annual evaluation process
  • Collect data including delivery dates, times, and list of children served from all participating classrooms
  • Keep information dissemination and system of documentation
  • Provide technical assistance and support teachers and their delivery of the curriculum
  • Monitor implementation of Al’s Pals curriculum
  • Attend monthly contractor’s meetings as needed
  • Assist to ensure that program deliverables are met
  • Enter All Early Childhood events and Al’s Pals Curriculum data into PMIS
  • Attend Semi-Annual Contractor Meeting at the date and time provided by contract monitor
  • Ensure continuity of care for children, youth, and families by coordinating referral pathways between schools, prevention providers, community organizations, and NEDHSA behavioral health services. Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders to support timely access to prevention, intervention, and supportive services, while promoting coordinated care efforts that improve long-term outcomes and strengthen service continuity throughout the region.
