Allocations Team Leader

Your next opportunity:   

Boral Concrete have a great opportunity available for an experienced People Leader to join our high performing team, high paced team located in Port Melbourne, to lead a high performing Allocations team and champion the allocations function of our VIC Concrete business.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this fast paced, dynamic and rewarding position will see you responsible for a variety of internal and external stakeholders across multiple business units. 

This opportunity is suitable for experienced People Leaders, preferably with allocations or scheduling experience and who are looking to take on a new challenge.

Your day will involve: 

  • Leading a team of 8 Allocators
  • Daily liaison with truck drivers, Plant Managers and the wider Customer Service Team
  • Ensuring timely and accurate customer communications are aligned with effective allocations to exceed customer expectations  
  • Forward planning to provide efficient and effective logistics and resource allocation  
  • Facilitating order fulfilment through effective order scheduling to maximise volume, profitability and customer service  
  • Ensuring key customers have service expectations consistently met and identifying additional sales and service opportunities    

What are we looking for? 

  • Fleet allocations and scheduling capability (highly desired) 
  • Team Leadership experience
  • Previous logistics experience including chain of responsibility, fatigue management and mass management knowledge (desirable, not essential)  
  • Experience in the transport or construction industry (desirable, not essential)  
  • Good knowledge on Melbourne metropolitan geographical area  
  • Available to work varying shifts between our operating hours of 6.00am – 5:00pm
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast paced and changing environment
