AstheAllocation Analyst, you will take lead inoptimizinginventory allocation and distribution strategies to meet customer demand and drive sales during peak seasons. This role requires a keen understanding of inventory management, market trends, and customer behavior to ensure the right products are available in the right stores at the right time. You will manage the distribution ofinventoryto maximize the likelihood of sales and sell-through while considering strategicobjectives such as store priority The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Seasonal Allocation and Planning:
Oversee businesses with 500-1,000+SKUs, driving up to $200M annually
Develop andmaintaindemand forecasts by analyzing historical sales trends, seasonal patterns, and market drivers
Monitor forecast accuracy,identifyvariances, and recommend corrective actions to improve results
Contribute to process improvements byidentifyingopportunities for automation, enhanced forecasting models, and best practices
Coordinate with buying, planning, visual to plan for seasonal set and refresh allocationsand align demand forecasts with business objectives
Optimizethe allocation of products to prevent stockouts and reduce excess inventory at end of seasonorproduct life cycle
Review the allocation of merchandise to warehouses and stores based on demand forecasts, sales trends, andoptimalinventory levels
Support the execution of seasonal strategies and marketed events byallocatingthe right products to stores and online channels as per the marketing and merchandising plans
Inventory Analysis:
Monitor store sales performance, tracking sell-through rates. Reviewopportunitieswith managerandalign onthe necessary adjustments for upcoming seasons
Collaboratewithmanagertoidentify slow-moving items and recommend actions to address these issues (hold in DC, markdown, floor placement moves)
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate forecast performance and inventory insights to leadership.
Communication and Collaboration:
Cross-collaborate closely with (but not limited to) Buying, Planning, Visual Merchandising and Supply Chain to ensure effective communication and coordination
Partner with your manager to provideregular updates on allocation effectiveness throughout the seasonwith your cross-functional partners
Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with a cross-functional team focused on driving sales andoptimalstore presentation levels
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or relatedfieldrequired
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in inventory management
Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Ability to analyze data and provide actionable feedback
A strong problem-solving skillset
Capable of prioritizing workload in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Sense of urgency and excitement to be a part of a high-growth retail environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn systems quickly. Power BI or Tableau experience a bonus
Must be Philadelphia-based for in-office requirements
