Job Description

Christiana Care Health System, with locations in Wilmington and Newark, DE, is one of the largest health care providers in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for an Allied Health Specialist – Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm; no weekends or holidays.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Didactic instruction and evaluation for students enrolled in the program.

  • Instruction in skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.

  • Laboratory demonstration, instruction and pre-clinical evaluation for students.

  • Clinical demonstration, instruction and evaluation for students as both formative feedback and terminal competency testing.

  • Developing course outlines, objectives and evaluation tools for designated courses that are consistent with accreditation requirements and college policy.

  • Coordinating clinical rotations with affiliate clinical sites; communicates frequently in reference to student learning.

  • Providing academic counseling as needed to students during all phases of the educational program.

Requirements:

  • ​Bachelor’s degree unless otherwise required by accreditation agency.

  • Minimum 4 years relevant work experience required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Special Requirements:

  • Ability to meet all relevant qualifications for Program Coordinator as required for Program Accreditation.
  • Credentials in specialty and in good standing with pertinent regulatory agencies

This position pays a base hourly rate between $41.28 and $56.76 based on experience.This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
