About the Team

KPMG’s Insurance Claims and Workplace Health practice partners with personal injury insurers and schemes, life and general insurers, self-insurers and employers to solve complex challenges and improve claims outcomes.

We work at the intersection of claims strategy, data-driven insights and customer experience, helping clients deliver better outcomes for injured persons while driving performance across their portfolios.

You will be joining a collaborative, high-performing team that brings together deep claims expertise, allied health insight and a shared focus on delivering meaningful impact.

Your Opportunity

This role plays a key part in a large-scale claims review program focused on improving outcomes across personal injury portfolios.

As a Claims Specialist with an allied health background, you will apply your expertise to conduct detailed claim reviews and provide clear, evidence-based insights that influence claims strategy, performance and customer experience.

You will work across multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment, contributing to high-volume delivery while maintaining a strong focus on quality, consistency and outcomes.

This opportunity is offered as a 12 to 24 month maximum-term contract, providing exposure to a diverse range of insurers, schemes and complex claims environments.

Beyond day-to-day delivery, this role gives you the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a broader, more strategic way. Your work will contribute to system-level improvements, helping shape how claims are managed and experienced at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed claim reviews, applying principles of liability, injury management and claims best practice
  • Provide clear, evidence-based commentary on claims handling, with a focus on improving performance and customer outcomes
  • Support delivery across multiple engagements in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure appropriate treatment, rehabilitation and support services are in place
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within claims management systems
  • Deliver high-quality outputs aligned to client expectations and service standards

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in personal injury claims management, such as workers compensation, life insurance or CTP
  • Strong understanding of workers compensation legislation and claims practices
  • Proven ability to deliver outcomes in a claims management or claims review environment
  • Experience conducting claim reviews across varied claim cohorts is highly regarded
  • A strong focus on improving customer experience and claims outcomes

Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health, Occupational Rehabilitation, Mental Health or a related discipline
