Job Description

Opal Caravan Park, located in the historic opal mining town of Lightning Ridge and voted the #1 place to stay in town, we are currently looking for a casual All-Rounder to join our team.

This role will require you to work across both areas, which will include grounds & maintenance duties, as well as the cleaning of tourist cabins, amenities, and common areas.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting into the Park Manager, you must be able to work autonomously or as part of a team.

You must enjoy working around people and be able to communicate easily and confidently. You will take pride in your appearance, be self-motivated, have an eye for detail, a passion for maintenance, grounds and housekeeping and also have a willingness to learn and apply learnt knowledge.

The position will provide you with variety and a rewarding role.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have previous experience; however, this is not essential as training will be provided to the right person.

The successful applicant will require a Drivers Licence.

You will be competent in the use of items such as:

  • Ride on mowers.
  • Hedge trimmers.
  • Whipper snippers
  • Chainsaws
  • High powered hand tools.
  • Assist with other minor maintenance items across our park and accommodation on direction from our Park Manager.
  • Previous housekeeping/amenities cleaning experience (preferred however training will be provided to the right person.
  • Attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness
  • The ability to work unsupervised, and as part of a team
  • Excellent personal presentation with a friendly disposition
  • A willingness to carry out various tasks as required
  • Available to be rostered over a 7-day rotating roster including weekends (days/times will vary each week)
  • Be available for an immediate start
