Campbellfield Rental Village is conveniently located in Melbourne’s north, providing practical and comfortable rental accommodation in a welcoming, well-maintained environment. With easy access to transport, shopping, essential services, Melbourne Airport, major business areas and the city centre, the village provides residents with a convenient and dependable place to call home.

This is a casual position requiring flexibility to work across all days of the week, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays, in line with the operational needs of the village.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on, varied role responsible for maintaining the presentation, cleanliness and functionality of the village grounds, accommodation and facilities. The position involves physically demanding work, including regular manual handling and lifting, as well as the safe and competent use of power tools, maintenance equipment and cleaning equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• General grounds maintenance and landscaping
• Operation of maintenance equipment and power tools
• Upkeep of village facilities, amenities and common areas
• Cleaning of accommodation, amenities and shared spaces to a high standard
• Assisting with minor repairs and general maintenance tasks as directed by the Village Manager
• Supporting the overall presentation, cleanliness and upkeep of the village
• Helping ensure accommodation and facilities are clean, safe and ready for residents
• Providing a friendly, respectful and helpful presence for residents when required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar all-rounder, cleaning or maintenance role (residential, accommodation, hospitality or similar environment preferred, but not essential)
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying and repetitive physical activities
• Demonstrated ability to safely use power tools and maintenance equipment
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in cleaning and presentation standards
• Commitment to safe work practices and following WHS procedures

You will be competent in the use of equipment such as:

• Ride-on mowers
• Hedge trimmers
• Whipper snippers
• Pressure cleaners
• High-powered hand tools

Remuneration

The rate of pay for this role will be in accordance with the applicable Award.
