THE PROJECT MANAGER, STARTUP SERVICES, IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LEADING CROSS-FUNCTIONAL STARTUPS FOR NEW OR EXPANDING WORK AND IMPLEMENTING ACTIVITIES FOR NEW AND EXPANDING CLIENT PROGRAMS. SUCCESSFUL PROJECT MANAGERS WILL ENSURE ALL STAKEHOLDERS UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS, ARE ALIGNED ON GOALS, OBJECTIVES, AND DESIRED OUTCOMES WHILE MEETING OR EXCEEDING BUDGET AND TIMELINE EXPECTATIONS. PROJECT MANAGER, STARTUP SERVICES WILL:
• Lead cross-functional teams, develop delivery plans, and coordinate tasks with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure startup launch meets client expectations and Franklin financial and operational goals
• Foster collaboration, identify risks and manage mitigation, and provide clear direction to stakeholders
• Lead startup governance, communication, and stakeholder meetings, ensuring clear decisions, action plans, status reporting, and issue resolution
• Guide startup teams and clients through challenges to successful outcomes
• Utilize effective processes and tools while employing project management skills to deliver launch on time and on budget
• Coordinate with Business Development, Opportunity Architects and Proposal Generation teams to support solution development with startup timelines and Gantt chart generation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Foster a collaborative and solutions-driven environment where the startup team and client feel comfortable expressing their opinions
• Identify, evaluate, and address risks, ensuring the startup team is aligned and delivering the same message to the client
• Work with the business operations teams (Managing Director, Program Manager, etc.) to manage client expectations and escalate when department startup leads require additional support
• Provide clear directions regarding next steps and startup status
• Prepare, run and lead internal and external startup meetings efficiently and effectively
• Ensure department startup leads are sufficiently prepared for department-specific meetings, anticipate and identify gaps and risks
• Manage and coordinate startups using effective processes and structure, including Smartsheet (or other) tools, guiding teams through roadblocks and challenges
• Drive the outcome of program launch through consistent communication and setting expectations amongst all stakeholders
• Provide status updates to relevant stakeholders and manage the startup cadence while leading cross-functional teams
• Develop a high-level plan for delivery, working with team members to identify tasks, manage agreed-upon dates, and report upcoming tasks
• Coordinate across all departments to deliver program launch on time and on budget, ensuring solutions meet client and business expectations
• Support program remediation and improvement efforts as needed
• Provide interim program management for programs across the enterprise, as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, engineering, or other discipline
• Advanced degree – Preferred
• At least three years’ management/supervisory experience including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and mentoring
• Proficiency in financial management
• Five or more years of experience in the energy efficiency industry
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Must be able to handle a wide variety of work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload
• Ability to identify and resolve project issues with clients, partners, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Project Management Software experience
• Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
• Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios
• Experience in lighting, HVAC, and other technologies installed in residential, commercial and industrial applications – Preferred

• Valid driver’s license
• PMP Certification – Preferred
• CEM Certification – Preferred
Travel Requirements
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
