Position: Alimak Raise Mechanic
Project: FIFO
Rotation: 14/14
Shift: 11.5 HRs
Wage: $76 - $86 / hr
Potential Renumeration: – Referral Bonus
Travel/Accommodations/Meals: Camp job

Eligibility: To be considered, you must be a Canadian citizen, or authorized in writing to work in Canada under federal immigration requirements, and currently be residing in Canada.About the Role:As an Alimak Raise Mechanic with Dumas, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Alimak raise equipment used in underground development activities. You will support raise crews by ensuring equipment reliability and safe operation while working in a fast paced underground environment. This role may also involve assisting the raise crew with deckman duties and supporting daily raise development operations while maintaining strict compliance with safety standards and site procedures.Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair Alimak raise equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components associated with raise equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure reliability and safe operation.
  • Assist raise crews with deckman duties and support raise development activities as required.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment status to supervisors.
  • Follow all Dumas and site safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct pre operational equipment checks and ensure tools and equipment are maintained in safe working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to support production targets.
  • Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
  • All other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
  • Valid Ontario Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic license or equivalent trade certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Alimak mechanic or on raise equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining and troubleshooting Alimak systems is required.
  • Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills in underground mining environments.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in confined underground spaces.
  • Outstanding safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
