We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Alarm Operatorto join our Mauritiusteam.

Key Responsibilities:

The Alarm Operator analyses and manages alarm triggering and technical signals that have been received by the monitoring centre softwares and tools.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with governance rules such as SOX, Health & Safety, and Brinks policies.

  • Lead by example by championing Brinks’ core values: Safety, Continuous Improvement, Engagement, Customer Focus, Integrity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

  • Deliver consistent levels of quality through innovative technology, value-added solutions, and streamlined operations.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with internal teams including the Response Team and Electronic Team.

  • Engage external stakeholders such as Clients and the Mauritius Police Force to ensure effective monitoring and response.

  • Provide clear and concise communication to clients during alarm confirmations, patrol interventions, and technical follow-ups.

  • Receive and manage incoming client calls/requests during non-office hours, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuity of service.

Performance Metrics and Accountability

  • Monitor CCTV and manage intrusion detection, access control, and alarm systems to safeguard client sites.

  • Process signals and update monitoring software according to departmental procedures.

  • Place necessary calls to confirm alarms, trigger patrol interventions, and contact authorities when required.

  • Collect feedback and update systems to maintain accurate records.

  • Directly operate the monitoring service, ensuring accountability for service delivery.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Identify technical intervention needs and follow up with customers to enhance service reliability.

  • Contribute to streamlined operations by updating software and improving reporting accuracy.

  • Encourage excellence by maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer orientation.

  • Support Brinks’ culture of continuous improvement by adopting new approaches to monitoring and client engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum SC qualification.

  • At least one year of experience in a call center (call reception preferred).

  • Perfect command of computer tools with good typing speed.

  • Physically fit with high attention to detail.
