Water Safey / Beach Attendant

Set along the pristine Kona-Kohala coast, this role offers the opportunity to work in one of Hawai‘i’s most remarkable natural environments. As a Water Safety / Beach Attendant, you will provide attentive oversight of all ocean activities, ensuring guests feel both safe and completely at ease as they enjoy the beauty of Hualālai. This position calls for strong ocean awareness, physical capability, and a thoughtful, guest-centered approach—balancing vigilance with warmth to create an environment where safety and relaxation exist seamlessly together.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide attentive and proactive supervision of ocean activities to ensure the highest level of guest safety

• Welcome and assist guests entering and exiting the ocean, offering guidance tailored to individual comfort levels and conditions

• Continuously assess ocean and weather conditions, communicating with clarity and care to promote informed, confident participation

• Maintain defined safety zones and guidelines, reinforcing them in a professional and respectful manner

• Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations, demonstrating sound judgment and preparedness

• Support the daily setup and care of beach and ocean equipment, contributing to a polished and inviting environment

• Create meaningful, personalized interactions that reflect the warmth and genuine hospitality of Four Seasons

WHAT TO BRING

• A passion for the ocean and a strong commitment to safety and service

• Excellent swimming ability, including the ability to swim 1000 yards within 23 minutes

• Ability to free dive up to 35 feet

• Knowledge of ocean conditions and Hawaiian waters preferred

• Previous experience in ocean safety, lifeguarding, or a related field preferred

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Confidence in communicating clearly while maintaining a friendly, approachable presence

• The ability to remain attentive, composed, and responsive in a dynamic outdoor environment
