Job Description

About this role

What team will you be on?

The Aladdin Client Business (ACB) provides clients with access to the intellectual capital, risk analytics, and investment platform that supports BlackRock's asset management business. Within ACB, the Solutions Engineering team partners closely with Business Development, Product, Services, and Sales teams to help prospective clients understand how Aladdin and eFront can address complex investment, risk management, and operational challenges. The team serves as a critical bridge between clients and product teams, helping shape future platform capabilities while supporting the continued growth of BlackRock's alternatives technology business.

Why is your role important?

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play an integral role during the early stages of the client lifecycle by providing technical expertise throughout the sales process. You will help prospective clients evaluate how Aladdin and eFront can support their business objectives, investment workflows, and operational requirements. This highly visible, client-facing role requires strong presentation and relationship-building skills, the ability to translate complex concepts into practical solutions, and a passion for financial technology and alternative investments. Your insights will directly influence client outcomes, business growth, and product innovation.

What will you be doing?

In every role at BlackRock, you'll be expected to apply sound judgement and critical thinking to solve complex problems, adapt as the business evolves, and combine the curiosity to explore new approaches and technologies with the rigor to challenge the results. The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as a client-facing alternatives specialist, delivering presentations that connect private markets industry trends, investment workflows, and technology solutions.
  • Lead technical sales support activities, including responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and management of solution environments used during client engagements.
  • Communicate product capabilities to business and technical stakeholders and deliver tailored demonstrations that address client investment and operational challenges.
  • Assess customer requirements, identify opportunities to enhance business outcomes, and recommend solutions that maximize value for clients and the firm.
  • Partner with sales, product, and service teams to align proposed solutions with client objectives and business requirements.
  • Support marketing initiatives through participation in conferences, industry events, and other business development activities.
  • Provide market feedback, client insights, and emerging requirements to Product teams to help shape future platform enhancements.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in a client-facing role such as Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, Consulting, Project Management, or a related function within investment management or financial technology.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both business and technical audiences.
  • Experience presenting software solutions or technical concepts to senior business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interest in financial markets, investment technology, and the evolving financial technology landscape.
  • Self-starter with strong ownership, intellectual curiosity, professionalism, and a collaborative, results-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in alternative investments, private equity, or related private markets segments is preferred.
