
Activities Assistant - Part Time
Pineapple House of Sapphire Lakes, located in the beautiful city of Naples, Florida, is dedicated to providing a vibrant and engaging environment for our senior residents. We are currently seeking a compassionate and energetic Part-Time Activities Assistant to support our Life Enrichment Coordinator in promoting active and fulfilling lifestyles through daily activities and recreational therapy. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors while working in a warm and welcoming community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Life Enrichment Coordinator in planning, organizing, and facilitating daily activities and recreational programs for residents
- Engage residents in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Support residents in participating in activities, ensuring inclusivity and encouragement
- Help set up and clean up activity spaces and materials
- Monitor and document residents’ participation and responses to activities
- Foster a friendly, respectful, and positive environment for residents and staff
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with seniors or in recreational therapy preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be flexible with scheduling, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Creative, energetic, and compassionate approach to engaging seniors
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Basic organizational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and genuine interest in enhancing residents’ quality of life
