Activities Assistant at Grand Villa of Ocala

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
• Encourage active participation and social interaction among residents
• Assist in developing and implementing programs that promote life skills, wellness, and overall well-being
• Monitor and evaluate residents’ engagement and provide feedback for program improvement
• Collaborate with staff and family members to ensure activities meet individual needs and preferences
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment during activities

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in activities coordination, recreation, or a related field, preferably in senior care or healthcare settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging seniors in meaningful activities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents’ needs
• Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and life skills development
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in activity planning or senior care are a plus
