The AIS substations group is a key part of HV Substations Delivery and is responsible for the design of HV substation assets and infrastructure for ESB Networks. This includes both conceptual and detailed engineering design, design safety management, design programming, construction support and commercial management. Collaboration with a range stakeholder is a key function of this role including EMP Networks Project Delivery, Networks Assets, Networks Customer Delivery and other external delivery services and contingent labour providers.

Applicants must have agreed with their line manager that applying for promotion to Band 7 is a realistic career step at this time. Short-listing will be based on whether operating at next level has been a feature of development conversations.
This position will be based in The Sidings or in our Eastgate Cork office. Travel to project locations for site visits will also be a requirement of the role.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.
