RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide daily oversight and direction of union team members to ensure operational excellence in the preventative and corrective maintenance of passenger boarding bridges, baggage handling systems, and other contracted airport equipment, as well as the clearing of both inbound and outbound baggage jamissues.
  • Daily activities may include, but are not limited to, communicating with multiple customers and/or other airport agencies, personnel scheduling, work orders review and completion, safety inspections, productivity planning, supply and parts management coordination, handling and resolving employee issues, and drafting and sending pre- and post-shift reports.
  • Interact daily with union team members to provide support, coaching, and on-the-job training. Strive to improve management, union team members, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop processes and documentation to support operational activities.
  • Provide leadership in support of the Site Managers in overseeing operational performance.
  • Comply with and support the company’s safety, training, and quality assurance programs; performing and documenting safety inspections, managing new employee and annual training completion and tracking, and accomplishing quality control inspections on maintenance work activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Be available to answer emergencies and questions 24/7 via company-issued cell phone, text messaging, and or company email.
  • Be prepared to temporarily adjust duty hours and/or days off to accommodate for extended absences of other Supervisors due to personal time off, business trips, etc.

​QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Valid Driver’s License required.
  • A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in the area of airport maintenance services. Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport.
  • Ability to work Day or Night shift including weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of Supervisor, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The primary work responsibilities will require work in both office environments and in airport ramp and baggage handling system areas involving moving machinery, vehicles, aircraft, and sometimes outdoor weather conditions in both hot and cold environmental conditions.

Pay Range:

$64,500.00 - $103,500.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
