This individual will report in person to Denver International Airport. Employee parking will be provided.
In this position you can expect to work Monday - Friday, standard business hours.
This role supports mandatory on-call emergency operations that may happen during nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Contract Administrator (CA) willbe responsible formanaging and monitoring contract requirements and performance within the O&M Contract Administration DepartmentThe CA willbe responsible forensuring compliance with contract terms, city ordinances, and DEN rules and regulationsThis role willbe responsible forthe scope of work development, program development, contract management, and contract negotiations for contracts related to programs such as Janitorial, WindowCleaningand Maintenance Services
The Contract Administrator will work at DEN in a fast-paced environment, working withdifferent groupsor divisions such as the Office of Economic Development, Contractors, federal governing agencies, Business Management Services, Finance, and many other divisions internal and external toDEN. The Contract Administrator willbe responsible forensuring contract requirements are aligned with current industry best practicesYou will have the chance to train with other Contract Administrators to learn DEN’s process for preparing and executing change orders, schedule of values, auditing invoices against professional service contracts, and performing daily document control for a variety of professional services contracts.In order tosucceed at this position, you must be highly organized, have strong analytical skills, communicate effectively, and be comfortable multitasking themyriadof different projects youare in charge ofat any one time.
Additionally, as an Airport Services Contract Administrator, you can expect to:
Develops, documents, andestablishespolicy for all necessary contractual parameters, including types of vendors and services, space allocation, and constructionrequirements asrelated to the Airport Services departmentActs as a liaison to the City Attorney’s Office and the Business Management Services officeFollows prospective contracts throughout Request for Proposal, contracting, and close-out processes, and coordinates actions for breach of contract situations.
Coordinates with Contractors to ensure that pay applications and payments areaccurateand processed promptly. This includes, but is not limited to, staffing and time reports, and completing forms as required for
Tracks and responds to market changes, works with stakeholders,determinesoperational or other efficiencies for improving performance, and prepares reports and recommendations for management. Coordinates regularly with program administrators, contract staff, and other departments toidentify, lead and supportnew traditionaland non-traditional methods for program management and growth.
Negotiates the final terms of contracts, which may include developing expenditure agreements, andmanagescontracts of specific vendors, professional services, or construction projects. Coordinates work with Project Managers toestablishperformance schedules and monitor metrics
Providestechnical guidance to staff and contractors, recommends, and coordinates the implementation of policies and procedures for assigned functions, andassistsin developing new policies and procedures.
Performs on-site investigations to verify compliance to contract, including pricing and employment rules and regulations, approves or denies adjustments, responds to inquiries and audits, andre-inspectsas necessary.
Makes presentations to contractors, city department heads, concession operators, and public interest groups and provides information on contract policies and procedures and general business management.
Maintains a tracking system of contract files throughout the term of the contract, archives all resource documents, and completes reports for management on contractor performance.
Reviews and ensures the quality of the work meets or exceeds the contractual requirements. Coordinates internal review meetings monthly and recommends contract renewals, extensions, amendments, and modifications to management.
Reviews contractors change requests and their proposals for accuracy and conformance to the contract and arrange negotiation meetings with the contractor and project managerProcesseschangesto the contractPrepares specifications for inclusion in contract documentsCompletes all information and forms necessary to advertise andprocurea contract.
Manges various on-call service contracts. Responsibilities include managing contract capacity, task order issuance, contractor performance, and invoicing. Whenapplicablethe Contract Administrator will perform on-call task order quote/solicitation aka “mini bid” procedures when issuing a task order for a project that can be performed by multiple contractors.
Manages the DENprovidedconsumable program. This includes forecasting budget and burn rates for the fiscal year. Placing weekly orders that align with passenger levels. Operate powered pallet lift and forklift equipment for movement of supplies within various storage locations across the facility.
Drives pilot programs for customers facing initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,identifyingthe best product,maintainingadequate stock, restocking product/dispensers, tracking customer satisfaction, tracking inventory, and generating reports for permanent implementation.

EducationrequirementBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Management, ora relatedfield.
Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional experience performing contract negotiation, contract administration, or conducting research and analysis in an area such as budget, compliance issues, or accounting.
Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of theappropriate typeand level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
Additionalappropriate educationmay be substituted forthe minimumexperience requirements.
License/Certifications: By position, requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
FBI criminal background check isrequiredfor all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employeesare also required toreport any felony convictions and/or moving violations tomaintainthis clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required
