We are now looking for an

AIRPORT SERVICE SUPERVISOR

tojoin our Ground Operations Service Delivery team. Based in Rovaniemi, you will support operations at one of Finnair’s most strategically important stations and contribute to the safe and reliable delivery of services across our growing Lapland operation. In addition, the position supports selected North Calotte airports in Northern Finland and Norway whenrequired

In this role, you will act as Finnair’s local representative towards ground handlers, airportoperatorsand other operational stakeholders. You will oversee operational performance, safety,qualityand compliance of ground handling services delivered on behalf of Finnair, ensuring adherence to agreed standards,processesand regulatory requirements.

This is a highly visible operational role focused on safety oversight, service quality,complianceand stakeholder cooperation in one of the most strategically significant areas of Finnair’s network.

This role isbasedinRovaniemi and requires continuous onsite presence at Rovaniemi airportWork is performed during regular office hours andincludesoccasional travel

Your main responsibilities will focus on operational oversight, performancefollow-upand stakeholdercollaboration, including:

  • Monitoring ground handler performance, operational quality, safety performance, safetyobservationsand training compliance at Rovaniemi and selected North Calotte airports.

  • Following uplocal operational deviations and supporting corrective actions.

  • Conducting regular operational oversight activities with particular focus on safety culture, regulatory compliance, operational riskidentificationand continuous improvement.

  • Supporting the implementation of Finnair operational development initiatives and process improvements, whilemonitoringtheir effectiveness and compliance at station level.

  • Supporting operational coordination during irregular operations and seasonal peak periods.

  • Maintaining effective cooperation with ground handlers, airport operators,authoritiesand other local stakeholders.

  • Performing operational reporting, invoice verification, administrative follow-upand quality monitoring activities.

  • Supporting monthly performance and quality reporting processes.

  • Promoting compliance with applicable safety,securityand operational requirements.

  • Escalating significant operational,safetyor compliance concerns through established Finnair processes.

Whatwearelookingfor

You have a good understanding of airport operations and ground handling, and you are comfortable working in a dynamic operational environment.Youare able towork independently, build constructive relationships with differentstakeholdersand communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

To succeed in this role, we hope you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field

  • At least three years of experience in airline operations, airport operations, airportservicesor ground handling.

  • Experience in operational supervision, coordination, qualitymonitoringorvendor/stakeholdermanagement.

  • Strong understanding of airport and ground handling operations, including both passenger-facing (above-wing) and ramp operations (below-wing), as well as applicable aviation authority requirements.

  • Experience working with service providers and operational performance follow-up.

  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a structured and proactive approach to work.

  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.

  • Excellent Finnish and English skills, both written and spoken.
