Mission
Analyze, design, and optimize airport operational processes across Ground Operations, with a strong focus on baggage handling, passenger disruptions, and ground handling services. The role aims to identify inefficiencies, drive improvements using Lean methodologies, and ensure SLA/KPI compliance while enhancing operational performance and delivering a seamless passenger experience across the network.
Tasks & responsibilities
Lead cross-functional projects to improve baggage handling and disruption management processes end-to-end.
Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to reduce incidents (e.g., lost baggage) and enhance operational resilience.
Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and SLAs, defining and executing corrective and preventive action plans.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual agreements, and operational procedures across all stations.
Define, document, and standardize processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Act as the main point of contact for baggage and disruption topics with internal teams and external partners (handling agents, IT, etc.).
Drive the implementation and adoption of digital tools and real-time data tracking solutions.
Coordinate stakeholders to ensure efficient decision-making and resolution of operational issues.
Monitor and audit ground handling operations to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance.
Promote continuous improvement, including benchmarking, supplier development, and cost optimization initiatives.
Academic background
Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
2–3 years of experience in aviation, ideally in Ground Operations, baggage handling, or disruption management.
Experience in process improvement, operational performance monitoring, and project coordination.
Skills
Knowledge of IATA standards and tools such as WorldTracer is a strong plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluency in both English and Spanish, spoken and written, is required
