What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Airport Manager and Ramp Duty Leaders to optimise performance across both domestic and international ramp operations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, operational performance and customer experience are consistently delivered, while working collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll also support Virgin Australia’s ongoing transformation by driving continuous improvement initiatives across ramp operations and delivering on our customer value proposition. Working in close partnership with the Airport Operations Support Manager, Customer, you’ll help foster a true “one team” approach across above and below wing operations. In addition, you’ll take ownership in building capability and strengthening the leadership pipeline through effective succession planning.

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Hold a valid driver’s licence and can obtain and maintain an ASIC and ADA Level 2/3
  • Bring operational experience within aviation, ideally with prior airline ramp operations exposure
  • Have strong influencing skills and can effectively engage and partner with business leaders
  • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence, with the ability to read situations and respond to drive positive outcomes
  • Can lead and motivate a large, diverse workforce to deliver strong customer outcomes
  • Excel at stakeholder management and building effective internal and external networks
  • Possess solid business acumen, with experience delivering projects and leading change initiatives
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in aviation or a related discipline (desirable)
