We are responsible for operating, managing, and upgrading 14 Regional Airports in some of Greece's most attractive destinations! And soon, the Kalamata Airport will also be operated by Fraport Greece. We are currently seeking to fill the role of “Airport Operations Coordinator" at the aforementioned airport.

The ideal candidate as a member of the Airport’s Operational Control Center (AOCC), will be responsible for ensuring the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the entire airport following the provisions of the Aerodrome Operations Manual and all relevant domestic and international regulatory documents.

Requirements

What will you be doing?

  • Monitor and manage the allocation of aircraft parking stands, departure gates, check-in counters, and baggage belts, ensuring efficient utilization of the airport’s operational resources, compliance with safety rules, and minimization of operational conflicts.
  • Continuously monitor Air Traffic Control (ATC) frequencies according to FGs SOPs and HCAA requirements, communicating relevant information promptly to internal teams to enhance operational safety.
  • Track and disseminate the valid published NOTAMs, actual weather data, and forecasts to relevant stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely operational decision-making.
  • Disseminate all signed Work Permits to authorized personnel.
  • Ensure implementation of specific actions during emergencies, as outlined in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and the Winter Operations Plan of the airport.
  • Execute contingency procedures in the event of equipment failures, adhering to FG's SOPs.
  • Provide operational reports for VIP and state Flights.
  • Maintain and update the Daily Airport Log with all essential events, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Insert all flight-related data into the corporate systems (AODB, SkyPort, FIDs).
  • Ensure that FG platforms such as PPR and SkyPort are updated accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure full compliance with ICAO and HCAA standards across all operational duties.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School or Vocational Upper Secondary School Diploma.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of employment, preferably in the aviation sector.
  • Excellent understanding of airport rules and regulations and the aviation regulatory framework (EASA, ICAO, IATA, HCAA) is essential.
  • Flight Dispatcher diploma/certification would be highly appreciated.
  • Advanced level in MS Office.
  • Fluency in Greek and English (oral and written at a professional corporate level).
  • Fulfilled military obligations, if applicable.

On 11th April 2017 full payment of the €1.234 billion upfront concession fee was made by Fraport Greece in tandem with the transfer of operations at the 14 airports for a period of 40 years.

In tandem with the start-up of its concession for managing the eleven island and the three mainland airports across Greece, Fraport Greece realized a comprehensive plan for the modernization and development of the airports.

Fraport Greece’s innovative €440 million airport development program has significantly transformed these airports. In particular, Fraport Greece has delivered five brand new terminals, expanded and modernized five existing terminals, and upgraded four other terminals. Construction projects at airside operational areas of the regional airports included renovating 12 runways, improving ramp areas, and constructing and renovating 12 fire stations. All of the airports have also been equipped with new state-of-the-art baggage handling and security systems.

The 14 Greek regional airports project is one of the largest and most beneficial investments and is a basis for boosting the Greek economy. Fraport Greece enhances the airports’ international competitiveness by the optimization of operational processes, the modernization and upgrade of the airports’ infrastructure and the continuous training of employees.
