The Airport Maintenance Worker(landscaper)is responsible forperforming a variety ofLandsideoperations bymaintainingand repairing thegrounds The ideal candidate manages a range of responsibilities thatinclude:Mowing, trimming,tree trimming, bush trimming, irrigation repairincludingsprinklers,sprinkler clocks and more.This position also includesoperating light and heavyequipment andassistingin application of herbicides and pesticides.

Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA) is owned andoperatedas a division of Jefferson County Government. The Airportis located inthe northeast corner of the County and is strategically situated between Denver and Boulder on U.S. Highway 36 and Colorado 128. RMMA is the 4th busiest airport in Colorado and isan important componentof the national air transportation system and the Denver metropolitan area. The Airport isdesignatedas a reliever for Denver International Airport and provides a home to many corporate aviation facilities, commercial aviation businesses, charter companies, general aviationtenantsand hobbyists. 

SCHEDULE:

Please note this is not a remote work position. This position requires on-site work to be performed and will work a 4-day work week, Tuesday – Friday, approximately 29 hours per week.

COMPENSATION:

Hiring Range:$21-$25 USDHourly

Compensationwill bedeterminedbased on education,experienceandskills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Maintaining RMMA-owned grounds through general maintenance practices and repair. 

• Applying herbicide and pesticides when needed for weed and pest control

• Irrigation repairs and maintenance.

• Ensuring Landscape equipment is functioning properly. 

• Responding to on-call and emergency situations in an airport environment. 

• Possiblyassistingwith maintenance and repair of buildings and all related mechanical and structural components such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.  

• Assistingin janitorial duties as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.
