Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are excited to be recruiting for Hangar Cleaners to join one of our well-respected and successful clients at Gatwick Airport. What’s on offer:
- Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour.
- Day Shifts available: 07:00 am to 17:00 pm - This may be subject to change, due to operational requirements.
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday This may be subject to change, due to operational requirements.
- Weekly Pay (every Friday).
- Full training provided.
- Temp to Perm (performance-based)
- ASAP Start!
Key Duties:
- Support the Team Lead with daily hangar projects and tasks.
- Carry out interior and exterior cleaning on British Airways (BA) aircraft.
- Complete all levels of aircraft cleaning, including toilets, deep cleans, passenger seats, floors, overhead areas and kitchen galleys.
- Clean and sanitise aircraft areas thoroughly to the required hygiene and customer standards.
- Be comfortable working at height on and around aircraft, using the correct safety equipment.
- Follow daily work schedules and instructions from the Team Lead.
- This is a very physical role, involving bending, reaching, climbing, lifting and being on your feet for long periods. You must be physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work throughout your shift.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues to get the job done.
- Follow all Health & Safety, Working at Height and aviation safety procedures.
- Use cleaning equipment, tools and chemicals safely and correctly.
- Help with stock checks, equipment checks and completing required paperwork.
- Keep the hangar and aircraft work areas clean, safe and organised.
- Work closely with colleagues, British Airways teams and contractors to complete work safely, efficiently and on time.
Requirements:
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Great work ethic.
- Valid Passport or Driving Licence /Birth Certificate or National ID card.
- UK Settled Status (If applicable).
- Proof of National Insurance.
- Proof of (current) Address.
- 5 Year Address History.
- 5 Year Work Reference History.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following interview in line with CAA requirements.
- Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial.
PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
