Air General, a third-generation, family-owned, national cargo handling company, is seeking a part-time Airport Field Data Surveyor based out of the Spokane International Airport location in Spokane, WA.

The Airport Field Data Surveyor will primarily be responsible for interacting with passengers to encourage participation in digital surveys. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and comfortable initiating conversations with the traveling public. The Field Data Surveyor will collect passenger survey data at airport terminals to support customer experience research, including ASQ Departures, Arrivals, and Commercial surveys, while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding schedules, survey locations, and assignments. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to survey protocols and quotas, and strict compliance with confidentiality and airport security requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Approach and engage passengers in a professional and friendly manner to encourage participation in ASQ Departures, Arrivals, and Commercial surveys.
• Conduct tablet-based questionnaires with passengers in-person.
• Responsible for capturing several metrics and KPIs related to the number of completed surveys within a day, completed surveys by gates/concourse, monthly and quarterly metrics, and completion rates for assigned surveys.
• Balance survey collection across assigned AM and PM shifts, weekdays, and weekends in accordance with the project schedule and peak travel periods.
• Accurately record and securely submit completed questionnaires in accordance with established project procedures and quarterly deadlines.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding project schedules, survey locations, passenger interactions, and assignments.
• Follow all airport, TSA, security, and project-specific policies and procedures.

Schedule: Approximately three days per week, four hours per day.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver’s license.
• Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks, applicable Custom Security Seal, and post offer drug screens.
• Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be comfortable working in a busy, high-traffic, fast-paced airport environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable approaching and engaging strangers in a public environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and quotas.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with security requirements.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable using a tablet and basic survey applications.
