TheJourneymanMechanicis responsible forperforming preventative maintenance and repairs onthe Employee Shuttle Busses.

Job Duties:
Performs preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, replacing/adding coolants and fluids,brakeand tire changes, etc. onvehicles and shuttlebusses
Performs minor/major repair ofvehicles and shuttle busessuch as starter motors, alternators, batteries, radiators, hydraulic drive components, dieselgasengines, etc.
Transportsvehicles to be repaired by driving, towing, or pushingvehicleinto service bay.
Inspect parts and/or motor vehicles toidentifydefective or broken parts, proper fluidlevels,generalwearand safety items.
Troubleshootproblems withvehicles and buses Receives work orders and obtains the necessary toolsrequiredfor the repair. Completes work orders and provides status on any "open" work orders.
Ensures tools and equipment aremaintainedin an effective, safe working condition.
Ordersparts, stock parts andmaintainsinventory withaccuraterecord keeping.
Performsallother related duties as assigned within theappropriate skilland experience capabilities expected for this position.
Qualifications:
Highly skilled and experienced: Can diagnose and repair complex issues independently.
Proficient in all areas: May be proficient in all areas of automotive repair, including diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair.
Leadership potential: May be able to lead and mentor other mechanics.
Keeps up with advanced training: Stays current with the latest technologies and repair techniques,
PossessavalidDriving License.
Must be able to obtain credentialsrequiredasper airport or stateor customsrequirements.
High School diploma,GEDor equivalent education.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess a Valid TN CDL A or B with a P endorsementor willing to obtain.
two+yearsof relevantexperience in vehicle or bus maintenance Must be open-minded and ready to work as part of a detail-oriented team.
ASE Certification (Society of Automotive Engineers), CIMM (Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic) or licenses in one or more of the following disciplines isrequired
RefrigerationlicenseAir conditioning experience
Electricalsystem and computer diagnostics
Fleet Maintenance experience following DOT Standards.
Physical requirements
Must be able toconstantlylift, move upto 70 lbs, push, pull; andconstantlywalk, stand,reachaboveshoulder,climb, crawl,stoop,squat,kneel,reach, grasp outwards andbend.
Working conditions:
Must be able toworkrotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements
