Airfreight Operations Manager, MAF

We are looking for an Airfreight Operations Manager to lead and develop our daily airfreight operations in Finland.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient operational execution while building a strong and scalable setup that supports growth and customer satisfaction. You will lead day-to-day operations, develop the team, and work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to secure performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the daily airfreight operations within the assigned country/cluster, ensuring efficient execution and high service quality.
• Build and maintain a strong operational setup, including team development, operational processes, and service offerings.
• Drive operational performance and follow-up through financial KPIs, month-end activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage carrier relationships and local procurement activities to ensure competitiveness and operational excellence.
• Oversee operational execution and pricing activities across ad-hoc shipments and tender processes.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and internal governance.
• Lead and support the team in daily operations, setting priorities and enabling successful delivery.

To be successful in this role, we believe you bring the following:

• Experience within airfreight operations, logistics, or a similar operational environment.
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams and create a strong performance culture.
• Strong understanding of operational processes, service delivery, and customer expectations.
• Experience managing operational performance, financial follow-up, or supplier relationships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• A structured, solution-oriented, and proactive mindset with focus on execution and continuous improvement.
• Professional proficiency in English; Nordic language skills are considered an advantage.
