Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary technical onsite representative for Thales Flight Control and Avionics systems at customer facilities. Understand and address customer needs, expectations, and feedback, consolidate all the customer information to transmit to PM.
  • Ensure the timely design definition, installation, Integration, Validation & Verification(IVV) of Thales Flight Control and Avionics systems according to customer planning and program milestones.
  • Troubleshoot system-level technical issues during lab integration, ground testing, flight testing, certification and FAL phases.
  • Develop and execute action plans in coordination with Thales AVS global engineering teams.
  • Participate in customer-led program reviews, engineering meetings, and quality reviews.
  • Lead regular technical alignment meetings with customer counterparts.
  • Prepare and submit daily status reports, issue logs, and technical debriefs to Thales program management and customer as required.
  • Manage and track technical exchanges (ECM, ECP, etc.) and maintain an issues/actions database to ensure timely closure.
  • Support the resolution of quality findings (e.g., QDN/SCAN) and non-conformances raised by customer, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support customer test flights related to Flight Control and Avionics systems, providing real-time troubleshooting and post-flight reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Avionics, Automatic Control Engineering, embedded RTOS, Aerospace Engineering, safety or related field.
  • Five to Fifteen years of hands-on experience in aviation/Avionics/Flight Control system integration, aircraft systems engineering.
  • Direct experience working with Airbus, Boeing, COMAC, Embraer, Bombardier, Gulfstream and AVIC or similar aircraft manufacturers is highly preferred.
  • Background in Flight Control, Avionics, system integration, aircraft certification is a strong plus.
  • Mandatory: Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written). Ability to communicate in French would be a great plus.
  • Strong technical communication skills with ability to explain complex systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Capable of working effectively in a cross-cultural, multinational team environment.
  • Experience with troubleshooting methodologies, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Familiarity with aviation quality standards, configuration management, and certification processes (FAA/EASA/CAAC).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and technical reporting.
  • Able to adapt to irregular working time due to meetings with overseas teams when necessary.
  • Able to travel to different cities in China, France and Canada when needed.
  • Able to work independently and has initiative to take on additional roles and projects.
