Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 5 years Gulfstream paint experience or previous experience in aircraft paint processes. A comprehensive knowledge of paint products and processes, and proficiency in all aircraft painting tasks.Valid Drivers License required. FAA A&P license or be able to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days of start date. Position PurposeAssist Paint Operations supervision with the planning and coordinating of activities during preparation, painting, and detailing of customer aircraft to ensure that the work is completed in accordance with quality standards, company operating procedures and aircraft schedules.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Supervise the preparation, painting and detailing of aircraft and authorize labor for assigned personnel. Manage workflow to ensure that customer outdates are met. Facilitate status meetings and provide daily reports on status of aircraft to Paint Operations supervision. .
  2. Coordinate with Inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications. .
  3. Supervise a continuous safety/security program, which includes operation of paint equipment, general housekeeping and monitor using 5S guidelines. .
  4. Plan and manage workflow to ensure that customer outdates are met. Facilitate status meetings with all departments and shops; update daily reports on status of aircraft and report to Paint Operations supervision.
  5. In conjunction with Paint Operations supervision assist with performance reviews for assigned personnel and help establish employee development and training plans.
  6. Work with the Hazardous Material Operations to ensure proper and safe handling of hazardous wastes. Responsible for hazardous waste documentation (paint, chemical tracking and filter documentation requirements). .
  7. As assigned, serve as back-up when Paint Shop supervision is out of the facility. Interim duties include taking phone calls and monitoring schedules and crew assignments.
Additional Functions:
  1. As assigned, work with other departments to support customer request. .
  2. Communicate, as required, directly with customers to explain paint processes. .
  3. Offer continuous improvement ideas/participate in continuous improvement activities. .
Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
  1. Possess a working knowledge of the Gulfstream Policies and Procedures manual, Inspection Procedures manual, and pertinent process specifications.
  2. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  3. Must be computer literate.
  4. Able to work any shift.
  5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
  6. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
