Job Description

CONTINGENT OPPORTUNITY - This position is CONTINGENT on contract award. S&K Aerospace is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III to lead and perform complex organizational-level maintenance on P-8A aircraft at NAS Jacksonville, FL. The position provides technical guidance to assigned mechanics and performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and flight-line support.

  • Lead and perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, remove, and install aircraft systems and components
  • Interpret technical publications, schematics, drawings, and maintenance instructions
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to assigned mechanics
  • Inspect completed maintenance when qualified and designated
  • Document maintenance actions in NALCOMIS/OOMA and required aircraft records
  • Support aircraft launches, recoveries, servicing, towing, jacking, and inspections
  • Comply with NAMP, safety, quality, tool-control, and FOD-prevention requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience leading aircraft maintenance teams and coordinating complex maintenance activities
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection procedures
  • Must be able to prioritize workload, coordinate maintenance tasks, and support production schedules
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must possess and maintain a current Top Secret security clearance
  • Must be willing to travel when required
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license when required by job assignment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver’s license if required

Preferred Qualifications

  • P-8, P-3, 737, or comparable military aircraft experience
  • NAMP, NALCOMIS, OOMA experience
  • Plane Captain, CDI, CDQAR, Safe-for-Flight, ordnance, or aircraft-turn qualifications
