Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. Global Technical Operations, Field Operations is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Mechanic (C-17), working out of the CFB Trenton, ON to support Canada Operational & Intermediate (O&I) Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the United States Government C-17 G3 Sustainment Contract.
The Aircraft Mechanic (C-17) will work directly under the guidance of the Lead Technician and report directly to the onsite Maintenance Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Assembles, disassembles, repairs, modifies, and/or upgrades aircraft systems and components to correct failures or implement changes.
Supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, including inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of aircraft components.
Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to isolate faults and repair defective components.
Performs validation and verification testing of systems and components to ensure proper operation.
Documents maintenance actions, procedures, test results, and inspection findings to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
Inspects components and verifies repairs for airworthiness and flight readiness requirements.
Supports system configuration, assembly, disassembly, and overhaul activities as required.
Works under general direction and may assist in training less experienced personnel.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience required.
Knowledge of operations and aircraft maintenance practices.
Must have knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks and the ability to interpret Technical Orders (TOs).
Must have one of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licensed E rating or Military equivalent.
Must be legally able to work in Canada.
Must be willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense-related programs with no restrictions.
Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
3+ years of experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives.
Canadian CC177 Globemaster III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC)
Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program
Active Secret Level II security clearance.
Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.

Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
The ability to work on a Canadian Government Federal Establishment (CFB Trenton) with no restrictions.
Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The range for this classification is CAD $95,000.00 - CAD $110,000.00 annually.
