We are hiring immediately for an Aircraft Mechanic.What you will be doing as an Aircraft Mechanic:In this role, you can expect to work hands-on repairing, maintaining, overhauling, and troubleshooting airframes, engine systems, parts, and components. You’ll fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment while supporting inspections, modification work, and structural repairs on aircraft. This role may also require assisting higher and lower grade mechanics as needed.Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):Aircraft Assembly, Repair, and Troubleshooting: Perform a variety of mechanical duties on various aircraft models involving diagnosis of malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to the customerEngine and Airframe System Support: Assist with turbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and engine run-ups; conduct airframe system and component changes, systems checkout, and installation of service bulletins and kits on airframes and enginesSheet Metal Fabrication and Installation: Lay out sheet metal parts using blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions; remove rivets and sheet metal components; and perform sheet metal and assembly work for modification and service workFunctional Testing and Mechanical Operations: Perform functional tests and mechanical operations on one or more aircraft models involving disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of aircraft systems and components using equipment and hand toolsComposite and Structural Repairs: Perform aircraft composite repairs and assist with repairs of malfunctions involving complex aircraft assemblies and systems, including enginesTooling, Equipment, and Safety Practices: Ensure safety practices are met related to tooling, jigs, and fixtures needed for sheet metal repairs, and use equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, and a variety of hand tools to repair or modify systems or assembliesWork Ownership: Responsible for own work and performs other related duties as required
What you need to be successful:EducationA high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is requiredRequires the use of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications, plus knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principlesAn Airframe or Powerplant Mechanic license is preferredShould you acquire a full Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license during your role, you will be reclassified to an A&P Mechanic upon presentation of licenseExperienceRequires a minimum of 3 years of experience performing inspections, repairs, structural modification, or composite modification of aircraftExperience using blueprints, specifications, and aircraft repair or modification tools is helpful Why join us?
