Compliance with Jetstar’s Safety Management System, training, and regulatory requirements is essential. This role also requires flexibility to work at other ports, including international locations, and to build strong working relationships with contractors and external service providers.

We’re hiring for current and upcoming opportunities across multiple key locations:

  • Sydney – New South Wales
  • Brisbane - Queensland
  • Cairns - Queensland
  • Gold Coast - Queensland

We’re on the hunt for someone who:

  • Has completed a Certificate IV in Aeroskills, holds an equivalent trade qualification (preferably under CASA, EASA, CAANZ or UKCAA regulations), or is currently progressing through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) in one of the following streams: Mechanical, Avionics or Structures.
  • Holds experience and/or aircraft type ratings on A320, A321 and/or B787 aircraft (desirable).
  • Has at least 5 years' post-apprenticeship maintenance experience (desirable). Ideally, in a line maintenance environment.
  • Demonstrates excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively manage workload and competing priorities.
  • Can work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Has a strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Holds a valid driver's license and is able to obtain an Authority to Drive Airside (ADA) License.
  • Is willing and able to obtain and maintain a Qantas Group-issued ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card), including satisfying international criminal history check requirements.
  • Is willing and able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
  • Can commit to a shift work roster, including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays.
