Job Category: MaintenanceThe Aircraft Detailer and Line Service Intern supports the Maintenance team by assisting with cleaning and detailing aircraft interiors and exteriors to company standards. This internship provides hands-on exposure to business aviation Maintenance Base operations while emphasizing safety awareness, professional standards, and operational discipline relevant to careers in aviation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Assist with cleaning aircraft interiors and exteriors to company standards, including vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and general detailing
• Help ensure aircraft are clean and presentation-ready following arrivals, prior to departures, and customer demonstrations
• Facilitate timely cleaning to meet flight schedules, including occasional early morning or evening needs
• Safely operate and care for cleaning equipment and supplies
• Assist with the stocking of onboard amenities, and organization and inventory maintenance of the MKC Stock Locker
• Maintain clean, organized work areas in hangars and on the ramp
• Assist Line Service in safely moving aircraft, including wing walking and marshaling aircraft
• Support the Parts Department, including delivery of parts requiring travel.
• Properly store cleaning tools and materials to maintain a professional work environment
• Follow all company policies, and safety procedures
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company dress code
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
QualificationsThe Aircraft Detailer Intern will be currently enrolled in an aviation technical program or college. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and the ability to work a flexible schedule based on aircraft activity.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Interest in aviation or hands‑on mechanical/operations environments preferred
