
Aircraft Component Repair Technician 2 - Thrust Reversers in GAC Savannah

We are seeking a Thrust Reverser Technician to perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of thrust reverser systems in an MRO environment. Responsibilities include disassembly and assembly of thrust reverser components, inspection of structural and mechanical elements, rigging and operational checks, and troubleshooting discrepancies in accordance with approved technical data such as the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and component manuals. The role requires experience with composite and metallic structures, actuators, and linkage systems, as well as adherence to airworthiness, safety, and quality standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to ensure reliable system performance.
High School Diploma or GED required. Able to interpret blueprints, engrg docs and use precision measuring tools. Proficient operation of all tools/equip in the dept incl glass bead & carboblast machines. Must possess basic understanding of shop math. 2 years experience in one of the following or other related experience: Sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, electrical/electronic harness buildup, electrical systems troubleshooting, battery servicing, APU removal, installation, and servicing. Position PurposeUnder moderate supervision, repair and overhaul internal and external aircraft assemblies, subassemblies and components in accordance with Gulfstream Repair Station requirements.
