Mi ni mum Q ual ifica ti ons: Possession of the following certificates: FCC Gen eral Radio C ertifi cate and a v al id Class-C Driver’s License and five years of aerosp ace indust ry wo rk exp eri en ce as an avion ics te chn ician. Mi li tary exp eri en ce m ay q ual ify if the lev el of w ork and respons ibi li ty and equip ment wo rked on w as equ al to that of an avion ics te chnic ian (this posit ion r equir es that the incumb ent h ave a wo rk ing kn owl edge of GA avion ics).

Kno wledge and Ab il iti es: FCC and FAA com munic at ion and n av igat ion r adio r epair, ins tal lat ion, and mod ific at ion; avionics ins tal lat io ns including anten nas, cables, receive r- tr ansm it ters, audio cont rol and s wi tchin g, fr eq uency compatib il ity, and RF in ter feren ce and avion ics used in fl eet air craft. Co mp ly with a ll FCC and FAA r equir ements for the ins tal lat ion and mainten an ce of air craft avion ics systems m ain ten ance and ins tal lat ion; inspe ct, tun e, and adjust avion ics in stalled in air craft for m axi mum pe rfo rman ce and prop er oper at ion; r emove and r epair all com muni cat ion and n av igat ion r ad io uni ts in fle et air craft; d es ign and l ayo ut avionics system install at ions in air cr aft; trouble shoot d efe ct ive components and air craft systems and m ake n ecessa ry rep airs to components and air cr aft systems.

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $59.03 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education,

experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market
