Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. Global Technical Operations, Field Operations is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Avionics Technician, working out of the CFB Trenton, ON to support Canada Operational & Intermediate (O&I) Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the United States Government C-17 G3 Sustainment Contract.
Aircraft Avionics Technician will work directly under the guidance of the Lead Structure Technician and report directly to the onsite Maintenance Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician, maintenance release authority (MRA), or equivalent to RCAF Level A.
Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices.
Must have knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks and the ability to interpret Technical Orders (TOs).
Must have one of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), Avionics Technician (AME-E) licensed or Military equivalent.
Must be legally able to work in Canada.
Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Canadian CC177 Globemaster III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC)
Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program
Active Secret Level II security clearance..
Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.
Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS), current ERKS at 429 Transport Squadron is the Automated Data Aircraft Management (ADAM) system.

Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
The ability to work on a Canadian Government Federal Establishment (CFB Trenton) with no restrictions.
Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The range for this classification is CAD $95,000.00 - CAD $110,000.00 annually.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government. Requirements to obtain a secret security clearance can be found at:
