The Air Freight Specialist e nsures the end-to-end execution and coordination of air freight operations, delivering high-quality customer experience while ensuring compliance with operational processes, regulatory requirements, and service standards. The role focuses on shipment execution, customer communication, issue resolution, and operational accuracy to support reliable and efficient air freight services.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute air freight shipments (import and export) in line with customer instructions and operational procedures.
Act as primary operational point of contact for customers, providing timely updates and ensuring service expectations are met.
Review shipment documentation to ensure accuracy of cargo details, rates, and transport instructions.
Monitor shipment milestones and proactively manage exceptions, delays, or disruptions.
Coordinate closely with origin/destination offices, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, regulatory requirements, and country-specific restrictions for commodities and destinations.
Register and maintain shipment milestones in the assigned control tools and systems.
Escalate operational issues when required and propose alternative solutions where applicable.
Support post-shipment activities including invoicing accuracy, cost input, and documentation closure.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying operational inefficiencies and error trends.
We are looking for:
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in air freight operations, logistics, or freight forwarding environment.
Hands-on experience with import and export air freight processes.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders across operations, customer service, and finance.
Exposure to KPI tracking, milestone control, and operational follow-up.
Technical or technological education in logistics or freight forwarding.
Students in final semesters or graduates in International Trade, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields.
Basic to intermediate English proficiency, sufficient to understand and communicate operational information.
