Job Description

The purpose of the AE Supervisor is to safely run AE machines efficiently as possible to produce first quality carpet.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Keep sufficient amount of yarn opened for Airing Machines.
  • Keep daily production records.
  • Responsible for packaging yarn.
  • Input case information into computer.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Lifting is required of yarn and packaging material, weighing 1 – 20 lbs. approximately 90% of the shift.
  • Standing is required 75% of shift for 20 – 30 minute intervals.
  • Reaching is required for yarn approximately 90% of shift.
  • Stooping is required periodically during shift.
  • Bending is required approximately 200 times per shift to pack yarn.
  • Must be able to use snips and scissors approximately 20 – 30% of shift.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Must be computer trainable (data entry).
  • Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete proper lift truck training.

Other Requirements:

  • Safety equipment must be worn as required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • All accidents must be reported immediately.
  • Overtime is required on occasion.
