Apprentice Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians

The RoleASM Chilltech is seeking motivated Apprentice Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians to join our growing service team across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in the HVAC industry while gaining hands-on experience alongside qualified technicians and industry leaders.
As an Apprentice HVAC Technician, you will assist with the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across a variety of commercial client sites. You will receive ongoing training, mentorship, and support to develop your technical skills and complete your trade qualification.

What You Will Be Doing
Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems and equipment
Support routine inspections and servicing of air conditioning and refrigeration systems
Learn to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
Assist with chilled water systems and refrigeration equipment maintenance
Work alongside qualified technicians on planned and reactive maintenance tasks
Learn to operate and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS)
Complete service documentation and job reports under supervision
Follow safety procedures and company compliance standards
Build strong working relationships with clients and team members
Your Education, Experience and Skills
Genuine interest in the HVAC or mechanical trade industry
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Good communication and teamwork skills
Year 10 certificate or higher
White Card (Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain
Pre-apprenticeship training in HVAC, mechanical, or electrical trades (desirable)
Any prior experience in a trade or technical environment (desirable)
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills (desirable)
Current Driver’s Licence or working towards obtaining one (desirable)
